Ramazan now off to Monday

Yes, it's now official that Ramazan, in Pakistan, is now off to Monday. The Markazi Ruet - e - Hilal Committee (the official committee of religious scholars regarding affairs of moon sighting) has now announced that Monday will be the 1st of Ramazan. However, news reports appearing on television inform that a number of people in South Waziristan claim to have sighted the moon. So a large number of people in South Waziristan will start their fasting month from tomorrow, while the rest of Pakistan will be doing so from Monday.

The usual... most of NWFP starts day earlier than the rest of the country. I remember last year I was looking at some astronomical charts and it is possible (at least it was last year) that the new moon is visible in the northern parts a day before the rest of Pakistan.

So 2 Eids? 3? Anybody's guess...

ramadan Mubarak to all, whenever you are starting.
