This picture was taken of a street stall in
Dubai outside a restaurant that sells
Samosas,
Pakoras,
Jaleebis, and
Dahi ballas for
Iftaar. The picture is of the different ingredients that make up
dahi ballas. There is an assortment of
chutneys,
yoghurt,
channa, and
ballas. It is a spicy snack popular in South Asia usually eaten for
Iftaar.

Yummy!! I had a small portion of lasagne today. Strange combination with pakoras and samosas, but my brother brought it. It was actually pretty good!
LOL at DREB and dahi bhallé.
Lahoris are the limit.
They eat dinner, go for a stroll, and come back having eaten dahi bhallé and falooda.
Lol Kaya, who says I'm a lahori.
Yummy and colourful!
Assi to hai.
But you know what I love best in the world. Thandda duddh! Only available in karachi at the Nagori Milk Shop, ice cold milk, served in those small coke bottles.
OOOH yeh!
Kaya, love that milk and miss the banta bottles of soda.
Can I please have a serving of chilli pakoras and jaleebis sent to me in Berlin?
And if you'd like to throw in some lakhri (spelling?) - you know, that sweet covered in icing sugar - that would be awesome!
:-)
NZM, we'd love to, you know we deliver all over the world. its on its way. And thanks so much for the link button. we'r using it on the blog.
DR: you're welcome for the design - happy to contribute!
Rajju: I guess that it would be ok, but I prefer vanilla ice cream and 7Up! You just have to put the ice cream in the glass first and then very slowly add the 7Up - otherwise it fizzes and foams too much!
milk with 7up? lolll wow I have to try that. how much milk and how much 7up?
NZM: I have done that with coke...a cafe served it here and they called it cola float. YUMMY!
Floats are amazing. we used to have root beer with ice cream. Yum Yum. 7Up and milk, I have never been able to do.
